With classic “Coke Bottle” styling this 1967 Pontiac LeMans Convertible in Regimental Red displays some of the wonderful styling aspects of the sixties.
Based on the Tempest body the LeMans Series had more equipment as standard and was much better appointed (including carpet as the Tempest had vinyl floor covering). LeMans contained four body styles: The Sports Coupe, 4-Door Hardtop, Hardtop Coupe and the Convertible.
The three vertical louvers on the rear fender were only seen on the two-door cars.
Power comes from a 326 cubic inch V8.
Original buyers had the choice between Strato-bucket or notch-back bench seats. All models used Morrokide upholstery except the 4-door hardtop that was trimmed in cloth.
Pontiac built at total of 104,902 LeMans cars for the 1967 model year – 9,820 of them were convertibles which had a base price of $2,881 (fitted with a 6-cylinder engine).
This Pontiac LeMans is currently for sale on eBay. (follow the link for even more photos)
