This 1959 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 2-door Holiday Hardtop really captures the period with its superb fins and distinctive oval taillamps. For '59 and '60, Olds referred to their coupes as the 'SceniCoupe'
The Ninety-Eight models were the top-of-the-line for Olds. This particular beauty is mostly original except for an older repaint.
Check out that rear - it is really something quite special. Note too that there is a hidden gas filler in the center of the rear bumper.
The interior looks great too with the original blue cloth and white leather upholstery.
Power brakes and power steering (called Roto-Matic by Oldsmobile) were standard on Ninety-Eight's as well as the unique wheelbase at 126.3 inches. This car also features a 6-way powered front bench seat moving it; up, down, backwards, forwards and tilting in either direction.
Powered by a the largest of the Olds engines in '59, the Rocket 394 cubic inch V8 with Quadri-Jet carburetor and Jetaway Hydra-Matic automatic transmission - they were both standard on the Ninety-Eight.
Base price for the 1959 Ninety-Eight Oldsmobile Holiday Hardtop was $4086 and 13,699 were produced during that model year.
