1961 Imperial Crown – Video Walkaround

This is a beautiful 1961 Imperial Crown 2-door hardtop (body style 922) with a Topaz Interior (code 923) and Coronado Cream (AA1) paint. She has a 413 cubic inch engine and 3-speed Torque-Flite automatic transmission.

The car is also equipped with power steering and air conditioning. In 1961, Imperial was advertised as America’s most carefully built car.

Free standing headlights positioned in a recessed front end was one of the major styling changes for ’61.

The standard equipment list was impressive with such items as; Power windows, six-way power seat, Constant-Control power steering, Total-Contact power brakes, TorqueFlite automatic transmission with pushbutton drive selector, Air-foam padded seat cushions, safety cushion instrument panel, carpets, vanity mirror, map light, back-up lights, variable-speed electric windshield wipers, the list goes on…

Check out those tail fins. They were as big as they were going to get and were drastically reduced for 1962.
