1973 was the last year of the big Mustang’s with a considerable downsize for the 1974 model year and the end of the first generation Mustang. Here we have a 1973 Ford Mustang Hardtop in blue with Medium Blue Vinyl interior (code AB). The car has a 302 cubic inch V8 with 2 barrel carb and 3-speed manual transmission. This car is also equipped with power steering – a $103 option when it was ordered. It was made in Dearborn, Michigan
Very little changes occurred on the ’73 models compared to ’72. The main identifier being a new grille containing vertical turn signals. Taillight bezels were now fully chromed following a similar look to that of the headlights.
Ford made 51,430 Mustang Hardtops for 1973 and a total of 134,867 cars were made across all Mustang models.
