This 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible is a true survivor with under 59,000 miles on the clock. Power comes from the original 239 cubic inch (3.9 liter) flathead V8 connected to a 3 speed manual transmission. The black paintwork looks great and contrasts beautifully with the red leather and beige cloth interior.
As with many of the manufacturers in post war America, Ford's new 1948 models still shared the same bodies with the 1946 and 1947 models before them.
The Super Deluxe was the top trim level for 1948. You could expect chrome moldings around the windows, two sun visors, horn ring, armrests on all the doors and horizontal chrome strip on the exterior.
Ford produced 12,033 Super Deluxe Convertibles for the 1948 model year. It would have cost you $1,740 had you bought one new.
