1959 DeSoto Fireflite

This beautifully restored 1959 DeSoto Fireflite Sportsman 2-door hardtop is one of just 1,393 made.

The Black paint looks great on this truly eye-catching design. This luxurious model originated in 1956 as a top-of-the-line model. This changed in 1957 when the Adventurer was released but the Fireflite maintained its luxury appointments and still sat above the Firesweep and Firedome models.

At the rear we have the unmistakable tri-cluster turret shaped taillights. A look not too dissimilar to its Dodge cousins.

Inside, the Fireflite boasted a Parisian tweed and vinyl trim with air foam seat cushions and full-floor carpeting.

DeSoto cars received a new instrument panel for 1959 and featured the new “Safety Color Accuribon speedomoter” that changed color as the speed changed.  The padded dash was standard on Firedomes and Fireflites.
