Take a look at this beautiful 1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Town Sedan. Power comes from an inline-six 216 cubic inch (3.5 liter) engine producing 90 brake horsepower. This was connected to a three-speed Synchromesh transmission with helical gears. This car made in Flint, Michigan has under 80,000 original miles on the clock! It is even got the original Mayland Black paint.
The 1946 to 1948 Chevrolet's still retained much of their pre-war look. The model year can be identified by the grille designs. For 1948 it was very similar to the previous year with the addition of a T-shaped vertical center piece. It wouldn't be until 1949 that Chevrolet would give its cars a fresh, new look.
Fleetmasters were above the Stylemaster models with extra features such as; chrome windshield surrounds, two-spoke steering wheel with horn ring, woodgrained dash and window sills and an illuminated glove box.
Chevrolet produced 66,208 Fleetmaster 2-door Town Sedans for 1948 at a base price of $1,381.
