1970 Buick LeSabre Custom Convertible – video walk around

This 1970 Buick LeSabre Custom Convertible in Glacier White has been family owned since new. The car is equipped with power brakes, power steering and air conditioning (a $457 option). It has a 3-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 350 column shift automatic transmission.

LeSabre was the lowest priced full-size Buick, with the Custom a plusher upgrade from the base LeSabre. 1970 saw a minor face lift with a new sculptured grille, rear deck and sleek profile. This was the last year of the third generation LeSabre which ran from 1965-70.

Although Buick sold over 64,000 LeSabre and over 118,000 LeSabre Custom cars for 1970, they only produced 2,487 LeSabre Custom Convertibles – so, even without the beefy and desirable 455 cubic inch motor, this car is still pretty rare especially considering the air conditioning option. Base price for the LeSabre Custom Convertible was $3700.
